Description

Kinema Theater was built by the Roeding Estate Company on Fulton Street which is now currently Fulton Mall. The theater had 1,400 seats and was noted for being built without a stage. The first film was shown in November 30, 1913. In 1952 Gamble and O'Keefe of Los Angeles took over the Kinema Theater and changed its name to Rivoli but only a few laters was torn down in December 1957. The Merced Store was built on that location.
