Description
Picture of Dakota Elementary School, built ca. 1910 on Lassen Avenue, between Clinton and Shields avenues, in Kerman, Calif. Western Stick architectural style. The campus was later moved a half-mile west, facing Modoc Avenue, where the Sun-Empire Elementary School was eventually located. The Dakota District was created in 1910, and merged with several other schools to form the Sun-Empire Union District in 1952, which in turn was later merged with the Kerman Unified School District.
