Description

Picture of Grant Elementary School, a one-room facility built in 1902 and destroyed by fire in 1936. Shows Western Stick architectural style, located near the intersection of Mount Whitney and Chestnut avenues, Laton, Calif. The Grant District was created in 1902, and merged with the Laton Joint (later, Laton Joint Unified) School District in 1956.
