Description

Picture of Pine Grove Elementary School, built ca. 1900, located on Trimmer Springs Road, 8 miles north of Piedra, Calif. Site of building was later inundated by completion of Pine Flat Dam in 1954, and final disposition of schoolhouse is unknown. The Pine Grove District was created in 1892, and merged with the Sierra Union Elementary District in 1951. The area eventually was served by the Sierra Unified School District.
