Description
Picture of Terry Elementary School, located near the intersection of Fowler and Mountain View avenues, near Selma, Calif. Western Stick architectural style. This schoolhouse, built in 1907 and razed ca. 1952, was the second structure of its kind to occupy the site. It consisted of four large rooms with a library and was topped by a belfry. The Terry District was created in 1882, united with the Central District to form the Terry Union District in 1945, and was merged with the Selma Unified School District in 1967.
