Laton Union High School building. Serving four districts, Grant, Laguna, Duke and Laton Schools with three buses servicing them. Laton Union High School had six teachers and all lines of study including manual training and domestic scienceā€¦

Laton Grammar School had a corps of four teachers and an attendance of about 140 in four rooms. The two story wooden structure was quickly running out of room and plans were under way for a new structure.

M.E. Church located on the corner of 3rd and D streets. It had a active Ladies Aid Society which was a benefit to the community.

Laton is on the main line of the Santa Fe Railroad. It enjoyed ample freight and passenger service.
