Description An account of the resource Located at NE corner of Mariposa and I (Broadway) streets. Constructed in 1889 in Gothic-Romanesque style, to house the Fresno County Bank created in 1881. In 1885, the bank changed its name to the First National Bank. Building was constructed by C.K. Kirby & Son with the cost of $28,789. It was made of brick with sandstone trimmings and pillars of Scotch granite. The Bank of Italy (later, Bank of America) purchased the First National Bank in 1921, and the building was eventually demolished to make space for a parking lot.
