It also captured the essence of the County's smaller communities prior to their rapid expansion, and the disasters of the 1983 Coalinga earthquake and 2020 Creek Fire. Photos are arranged by APN and through our fantastic volunteers, there is a database linking APN's to addresses. A total of 21,036 sheets of photos (approximately 100,000 individual photos) have been scanned and linked to more than 112,000 addresses. Description An account of the resource A Bakersfield group calling themselves the Foxtail Rangers removed the bark from the Lebec Oak in 1889 and found the previously-obscured inscription regarding the death of Peter Lebec.
