A fountain with a statue, "The boy with the leaking boot", is seen in the foreground of the building. The statue was cast from pewter by Daniel Nichols and placed in Courthouse Park in 1895. Description An account of the resource Front view of the Fresno County Courthouse, which was completed in 1875; the county's Board of Supervisors met here for the first time on September 6 of that year. About four acres of land around the courthouse were landscaped as a park between 1878 and 1888. Two wings were added in 1893. The building was demolished in 1966.
