The picture shows a draft horse, used for pulling heavy equipment (i.e. farm equipment). Earl C. Buchanan arrived in Fresno in 1899 and operated Star Horse Market for 5 years before selling it.

Yokohl School. Yokohl School District was organized March 17, 1873. It consolidated with Exeter Auguat 20, 1920.

The Mark Twain Tree was cut in 1891 and sent to American Museum of Natural History in New York. The stump is near the entrance to Grant Grove.
