Mrs. Gault she established in 1946 the Francis Noble Gault scholarship foundation of Porterville high school in honor of her husband Lt-Col. Francis Noble Gault. she was also a teacher of English and Latin in Porterville High School 1924-1945.

El Granito High School served the smaller high school district from 1905-1923. It was used as the Belleview Elementary school after the new high school was built in 1923. This building was demolished in 1950.
