Description

Located on the NE corner of Tulare and J (later, Fulton) streets. Built in 1889 to house the bank, which had been formed in the previous year. The building featured Renaissance Revival details and cost $70,000 to erect. The bank was purchased by the Bank of Italy (later, Bank of America) in 1916, and the building was demolished in 1917. A replacement of eight-story structure, housing the Bank of Italy, rose on the site in 1918.
