Advertising for the Star Horse Market located at 933 L Street in Fresno. Pictured is a Percheron draft horse. Earl C. Buchanan arrived in Fresno in 1899 and operated a livery business. After selling his stables he operated a horse and mule market on L Street for five years before selling the business. Mr. Buchanan was regarded as an expert buyer of cattle by leading cattlemen.
