Description

A 1934's Fresno Street scene looking south on Fulton Street with the prominent Security Bank Building, constructed in 1923, on the left. Street banners indicate an election year. Frank F. Merriam and John R. Quinn faced off for the Republican nomination for governor in the 1934 primary. Buildings on the right are the Mattei Building foreground followed by the Helm Building, constructed in 1914, middle and the Bank of Italy Building back at the corner of Tulare and Fulton streets.
