Description

Picture of Sunset Elementary School, located near the intersection of Lake and McKinley avenues near Kerman, Calif. The schoolhouse was built ca. 1915, with Western Stick architectural style. The Sunset District was formed in 1915 from portions of the Dakota and Kerman Districts, and merged with those districts and the Empire District to form the Sun-Empire Union District in 1952. The merged district later became part of the Kerman Unified Schools.
