Coalinga Library story hour group visitng Mr. Zehner's racing pigeon. Pigeons had just flew in from Madera.

Riding on the Library float are Billy and Ted Chaffin and Betty Gamage.

Jack Tarkington on his Harley. He was the Coalinga Constable for the Fresno County Patrol. He became a California Highway Patrol working in and around Coalinga. He was known to ride around on his Harley with his 200-pound pet puma Oscar.

First Huron Library building. It was formerly the kindergarten building in Coalinga. The library opened February 28, 1950.
