Tulare County Library, Allensworth, Tulare County

Exeter, Calif., received its library building -- approximately 50' x 28' -- in 1916, as a gift of the Andrew Carnegie Foundation. The library cost $5,000 to build.

This one-cent postcard (two cents if mailed internationally) shows the Exeter, Calif., Southern Pacific depot as it appeared about 1920.

This is the public library in Exeter, CA, in 1972. It was replaced by new construction in 1975.
