Photos from the files of local historian William Harland Boyd (1912-2002), collected while writing his books on Kern County history; these photos are of prominent community leaders and businessmen, and also include historic views of kern county. Located in the vault of the Jack Maguire Local History Room, Beale Memorial Library, main branch of the Kern County Library, 701 Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield, CA 93301. Phone 661-868-0701. Open to the public Monday through Saturday 1-6 pm.

James Madison Glenn
