Description

Fresno Water Works, located on Fresno and O Streets, which has engine rooms, tanks and tower. The water is supplied by eight 8-inch wells, of a depth ranging from 400 to 500 feet. The pumping apparatus is known as the Holly-Gaskill system, with a Worthington pump as backup. The daily consumption of water is 2 million gallons. The tanks at present have a 250,000 gallon capacity.
