Description

Picture of Jefferson Elementary School, built in 1907 in Western Stick architectural style near the intersection of Shaw and Fowler avenues, Clovis, Calif. It was the second schoolhouse to occupy the property. The structure was removed from the ground in 1954 and a new campus erected. The Jefferson District was created in 1884, merged with the Red Banks District to form the Jefferson Union District in 1945, which in turn later merged with the Clovis Unified School District in 1959.
