Located at the southeast corner of Mill and Church streets in Visalia, CA, this building housed the Visalia Drug Store, Vallee's Sample Room, and the Masonic Hall (2nd floor). A bookstore is to the right.
At the northeast corner of Main and Encina streets in Visalia, CA, the Carnegie Building -- the Visalia Free Library -- was in use from 1904 to 1936. It cost $10,000 to build. It was damaged by fire in 1913 and closed severval months for repairs.
This was the 1925 baseball team of Visalia High School in Visalia, Calif. Two players -- Larry French and Lyn Lary -- later played professionally. The umpire for many of their games was Arch Medlin.
