Muriel Billing, daughter of the first library custodian, stands outside the Tulare County Library, Alpaugh branch, in 1917. The 24' x 30' library was erected in 1913 by the Alpaugh Library Association with subscriptions of $10.00 per member.

This is the Carnegie Library building exterior in Dinuba, Calif. The cost of construction of this building in 1917 was approximately $8,000. It became part of the Tulare County Library System.

Patrons read in the Dinuba branch of the Tulare County Library Systemin April, 1929. Mrs. Iona Walker was the custodian of the branch, which had a circulation of about 25,000 books.
